IBIZA ( Spain): Salinas Beach.
Next to me a guy paid his bill with it…When I saw it…not imagine what a feeling I had…sorry but do not know his name but he’s from NYC.
NOTE:- Most of those 17,000 people are from out side the US. Unanimous person reported that more than half of the Black Card members are from Middle East or Asia. Less 10% from US and Five from Canada and Rest form Europe.
I know some rich family from Indonesia has it. Like the Bakrie brothers, for example.. they has an Amex Black Card and the gold card who accompanies the black one. i think it’s the preffered card or something like that.
Why is everyone on the list black? I know a few people with this card, none of which are minorities.
Pop artist Shane (rockshane.com) has a Centurion card. He has used it, rather comically at one point, on his reality show.
i actually held it. i work at a theatre and this lady bought tickets for her and her kids. she passed it over to me like it was nothing. it felt like stone at first, and at the time i didn’t realize the severe rarity of the card. it was a privilage just to be able to touch one =]
I work at a book store on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City and I see them occasionally. Here are the ones I remember.
Joyce Hall (Hallmark)
John Dunn (J.E. Dunn)
Nickoli Bloch (HR Block)
Shane Ross (Casemoe)
Merideth Goins (Casemoe)
Dr. John Daddle (Plastic Surgeon)
I just checked a guy into the hotel where I work with one. No names, because I have all of that information, however it was extremely impressive. He tapped it on the counter, and you can hear the thud of it.
I am doing research about them now, and found this site.
For that reason, I am posting about it.
One of my friends’ dad has it, we went out for dinner in London for her birthday and at the end he paid with the black AMEX. We are from Greece but live in London.
Robert Kyosaki of Rich Dad, Poor Dad. He flashed it and boasted about it during a millionaires’ forum on CNBC last month (Aug 2007).
Hi, was just looking to log into my account to pay my bill and I got onto this by mistake. I think perhaps I am missing out as I have one, had it for about 9 years and mine is not titanium and its definatley the real macoy, got delivered in a leather box with black ribbons. Please could someone tell me where this titanuim thing came from.. i might need to upgrade!!
tommy hilfiger.
came into the store i worked at two years ago and bought a couple sweatshirts. nuts!
I had a guest at my hotel use one. Not any high end hotel either, just a Holiday Inn Express. He slid it over the counter so no one would see it. Very nice family. I’m sure the people that have one worked hard to achieve this status.
I work at a camera store and see them a couple times a year, in fact i saw two of them last month. Why is it so amazing?
You have to charge at least $250k a year to an Amex platinum card and be a member for at least a year, according to both of the guys i talked to.
Prince Frederick of Denmark has one - I remember hearing Princess Mary talk about it when they asked how she met him. Apparently she had no idea who he was, chatting to him at the bar, and the bartender gently tapped her on the shoulder and said ‘do you know who you’re talking to? This guy has an AMEX black.’
Gilbert Arenas has one. A Wizards player complained in the Washington Post about Gil throwing it down on the floor of the locker room, bragging that he has it. I guess he has done this several times & the stunt was getting old.
I am a bartender in Charlotte and there is a guy that has THE BLACK CARD. He is a great tipper. He tipped 100.00 on a 60.00 tab. Another friend of mine said he come in to PF Changs and tipped large also. He goes by the Name - KC or K-Train. Very rare to see the Black Card.
Doesn’t it say you’re a bit sad if you need to boast about your American Express card, a la Robert Kyosaki? Amex have done wonders in that by giving out no information they have people falling over themselves to get one. Despite the hype they aren’t really that hard to earn. If you are a regular business traveller who charges to your own card, or you own a small business getting to $250k a year isn’t really hard.
john mayer has one. he tried to buy stuff at circuit but didn’t have ID, and the clerk didn’t recognize him at first.
source: us weekly
On September 29, Mayer, 29, and his new girlfriend, Friday Night Lights star Minka Kelly, 27, picked out $400 worth of goods at Circuit City in Santa Monica, California. But when the crooner went to pay with his American Express Black Card, the clerk — who didn’t recognize Mayer — asked to see an ID, an eyewitness tells Us Weekly. After Mayer said, “I actually lost my ID and don’t have one,†the clerk “advised John he would not be able to buy anything.†Says the observer, “John was so embarrassed. Minka was smiling and giggling and rubbed his back in support.†Eventually, the clerk recognized him, approved the purchase and apologized profusely. Says the onlooker, “John and Minka laughed and said it was no big deal before they paid and left the store holding hands.â€
Ed Snider- Chariman, Comcast-Spectator has one. I work at an exclusive mens clothing store, and he comes in on occasion.
Does anyone have an internal peace about them that only a relationship with god can bring. Money and stuff is great while your on earth, but you can’t take a Uhaul into the afterlife. I am not speaking to the people who don’t believe in God or eternal destination. but to those who do, remember that. If money is the goal we are all pursing, then we have some problems. look at card holder brittney spears, so she has a black card, but she has said that she is one of the most un-happy people in the world. The bible says, “the ways or the world will wither away, but the word of the last lasts forever” I’m not trying to condem anyone, or say money is bad, cause it isn’t, buit when we make it a priority over stuff, it becomes bad.
said in much love, and not passing judgement, speaking truth that has been passed to me!!
Seth
Chad Kruger from Nickleback
real name being Chad Thorton
Came into strip club in Vancouver, I was bartending there
the card said
Chad Thorton
Nickleback Inc.
i was working as a waiter and twice have i had it used. the first time i thought the dude gave me a lot of coins because of the weight but nope it was a middleastrn man and then the second time it was a pompus white dude with an Ferrari. i saw him leave. he gave me the card at the start of the meal so i held it for like 2 hours.
I work for my father in-laws construction company and AM-EX just called and offered him one so i was doing some research to find out about it and ran across this site. I don’t get it what’s the big deal with this card, everyone is like ” oh my gosh i seen one or i got to touch one”
I work at a hotel and have been handed it twice, yeah it’s thick heavy metal-like
Also, Ice Cube has one. I was flipping through channels and they showed it on that Chris Angel Mindfreak show. Chris pulled it out of his own pocket somehow.
I’ve just met probably the youngest Centurion American Express Card Holder she was not more than 18 or 20 yo. She paid for some parts for her dad’s Ferrari at our dealership in Houston. Her name is Andrea, it was impressive to see a young girl handed it over to me. more impressive was to see she had at least 3 Amex Platinum 2 Golds and several Platinum Visa and MC in her wallet. I’ve seen just seen another Black American Express cardholder and it was a 60 yo guy from NYC. I just wonder who’s the father of this girl?
You’re right about Ice Cube, here is a link to the video of the card trick http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PciL0p5fDA
The was a guy named John Patterson a couple of weeks ago in the bar I work at in Chicago that had one (he was from CT according to his license). It was pretty cool. The cocktail waitresses were all making comments about slipping him their phone numbers.
I work at Morton’s Steakhouse as a server, I see AMEX Black all the time. OJ Simpson does not have one, but he did get a BJ in the parking lot. That dude is a chick magnet, it is disgusting.
Demarcus Ware doesn’t have one.
No one on the New Orleans Saints had one (Reggie Bush wasn’t there, but all the other big names were).
Roger Goodell has one, he is a good tipper too, like 30%.
Hillary Clinton was in earlier this month, payment was arranged in advance. It was an amex, and I bet that thing was black.
my dad has one we live in coto de caza a gated community in orange county its a very excluded area home to a bunch if retired athlets and also homee to the house wives of orange county
Michael Jackson obviously has one or possiby more , i had seen a docu whit him where he whas in a rolex store and gave the man that card.
yeah, my dad and I have it to. They are cool. It kinda anoying thou cuz people will look at u and say stuff like “I wish i was as important as you”. Its also expensive. (1.5 g’s annual)
Some chick just paid for chocolate with one in front of me at Panache on the Plaza! She had to have been 6′ tall about 120 pounds bout 24yo ….. looked like a Victoriasecrect Model! Got into a white s500 benz and burnt out yo.
I was reading the comments 2 weeks a go and caught my attention the one of the young girl in Houston. Well she was here in Miami few days a go. She bought a watch, that’s not special, (even if the price was 9000) the surprising thing it’s that she’s 16 not 18 or 20. I got a copy of the card for security proposes since we couldn’t believe she was the cardholder and obviously she didn’t have a valid Id (she is not American) She got a little upset when we asked for the Id, so she showed a wallet full of credit cards on her name, And surprise! she had another black Amex card, different number, she also had 5 different platinum Amex cards, 2 Amex gold, one green, another black card from a bank, and not less than 10 other bank cards, we were shocked at the store. 10 minutes Later the father showed up he’s late 30’s early 40’s, nice looking and he drives a beutiful lamborghini (He parked in front of the store) He seemed like a loving father. I’ve seen them both walking with shopping bags by Lincoln Rd. a couple of times after that day. I can send the copy of the card if you tell me how to do it and if it’s not against the law.
PS
Now we know the father have a Ferrari and a Lamborghini
And girls.., he’s probably single! (no ring, and no wife / girlfriend around )
I would advise not posting too personal of information, such as a person’s card, address, personal contact info, etc.
I used to work in the Forum Shops at Ceasar’s Palace in Vegas. We’d have high rollers come in all the time and use their AmEx Black. Largest purchase was $120,000 by Japanese Royalty and her entourage.
I work at a restaurant in newburgh NY I was at the bar and one of the waiters asked me to charge a bill for his customer and when he handed me the card it was thick a little heavier than usual and all black.. I dont know if it was a black card but it sure didnt seem like a regular credit card…
Iv witnessed/parties with a person 19yr old at bars in a college town, no big deal at all. Father was a global telec. ceo. Iv bought a round of drinks with it, 3 well vodka tonics!
my mum and dad both have the card.
the annual fee in Australia is $3900 and the limit does not depend on your income. there is no limit. it also is not a Credit card. its a charge card, meaning you have to pay the bill at the end of the month.
and there is alot more than 17000 people which have it.
I’m a waiter in Beaumont, Texas and I work at a “high-class” bar and grill called Madison’s and I’ve seen 6 American Express “Black Cards” and I personally know 2 of the people who own them and it really isn’t a big deal if someone owns one. To tell you the truth, it’s a waste on $2,500 a year for the annual fee, when you could just get an AMEX Platinum Card and pay much much less a year and have pretty much the same benefits.
Shaquille O’Neal has one, he paid with it on the TLC show hot rides, he bought 3 o4 4 cars totalling 1.2 million on a single charge
Famed rock star Marilyn Manson also has a Centurion “Black Amex”. He pulled it out during a radio interview a few years back. His card is embossed with his legal name Brian H Warner.
Millionaire entrepreneurs Joshua Gilson (CTO) and Christopher Hall (COO) of Vitelity Communications have been seen with the card. They come into the starbucks I work at regularly and pay with their cards.
I know this Italian-Cuban woman that has one. Isabella is very generous and wonderful, she does not show it around.
My parents have them. Its no big deal but it is soo cool to go to saks with it. Me and my mom have similar names so they just think its mine when i show my id
it’s so cool. if u ever get ur hands on one, flop in on like a table or something. it doesnt bounce or anything it just like slaps down on the table because its so heavy
I Have 1 !! Best think EVER invented !
I use it EVERYWHERE!
It was a gift from my daddy for my 16th Birthday !
The ONLY requirements to get the card are: (1) good credit rating, (2) platinum card member for at least one year, and (3) a spending level on the card of at least $250,000 during the past year.
I just got mine, primarily for the extra travel benefits. Since many of these benefits are also available with the platinum card, I am not sure the extra fee is worth it (although it really does look good). The idea however of having spent $250,000 on Amex last year scares me a little.
I work at the Dior store in Beverly Hills. I’ve come across many celebrities who had this “AMEX Black Card”
As you’ve already listed,
Beyonce, Kayne West & Lionel Richie
Victoria Beckham, Pamela Anderson, Tyra Banks, Madonna, Halle Berry, Nicki Hilton, Foxy Brown, Quincy Jones, Kate Moss, Samuel L Jackson, and if I can think of others, i’ll post but these celebrities I listed have been to the store frequently & have made high purchases.
HAHA 250K A YEAR? I GUESS I JUST STICK WITH MY BANK OF AMERICA CREDIT DEBIT CARD……WORKS JUST AS WELL….AND ITS BLACK
YOU DONT HAVE TO HAVE A HISTORY OF SPENDING $250,000 AND A PLATINUM CARD PRIOR. IF YOU MAKE A FORTUNE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS MAKE A PHONE CALL.
my father has a black card i never relized how special it is (lol) he uses it to pay for everything even at 7 eleven
I work for Enterprise Rent a Car and some customer who owned a small buisness had one.It felt really good to hold it.It was so cold.
DON’T KNOW WHAT THE BIG DEAL IS, EVERY MEMBER OF MY FAMILY GOT ONE FOR THEIR 18TH BIRTHDAY. I HAVE PROBLEMS TRYING TO WORK UP A 250K CHARGE, ANYONE WANNA HIT MADISON AVE FOR A GOOD TIME…..
I had a client use his card to pay for his Thanksgiving turkey. The card was not nearly as impressive as this gentleman’s calm demeanor, maturity, and professional nature when he had to return the turkey he purchased in order to get the correct bird due to the fact we had another customer of the same name on our reservation form. Client name withheld for confidentiality. I’m not even sure who he is. I do find it interesting that the majority of those named are all “new” entertainment money, not what most people think of as a picture of sophistication.
I work at the Gucci store at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta. This past weekend a couple came in and the guy purchased his young wife (I think she was, they both had rings) a very expensive Gucci bag. He used his Black Amex to pay the bill. I had to enter the numbers by hand because the card wouldn’t fit in the swipe machine. I found out he is some local fashion photographer (how does a bum-looking photographer makes enough to get that card). He had a really cool sounding name that really stood out on the card (Initials were TA-M).
I’ve got one and although the card looks pretty, its a piece of crap service that I wouldn’t recommend to anybody.
I remember hearing Don Imus talk about donating 250K on his Black AE to the Fallen Heroes fund, so he has one.
I was at a strip club with some guys, and the dude next to us handed his to the waitress and she almost fell over. She was scared to take it to the bar, was like ” uuh uh.. I’ve never seen one of these before, its so heavy…” Anyways, seems like theres a lot of people with them
I spent 430,000lbs so far this year and 760,000 last year, and I used my AMEX UK Gold, yet know one at AMEX has sent me an invitation to apply. It cant be an American thing because my Aunt Fergie has one
Im from Perth Aust. My former boss has one. He just called Amex and said he wanted to spend about 300k a year asked for a Black card so they said he could have . It arrived in a nice black box with bits and pieces. The best thing is you get free business class upgrades on quite a few airlines(not quantas !) and lounge access
Kyle Sandilands ( a judge on Aust Idol) flashed his black Amex on national TV (in 2006) offering to buy one of the contestants a new outfit. The host (Andy G) told him to stop flashing and to put away his PLATINUM card (quite funny) though it was clearly a Black Amex.
PLATINUM is the way to go! Didn’t you know that one ounce of PLATINUM is worth more than one ounce of TITANIUM??
my mom has had the platinum card for 10 years now… she pays for everything with it… the benefits are awesome (and she has no spending limit!).. pretty much the same as the black, but you get to pay less for the annual fee… i bet you the annual fee increase for the black is the pure enjoyment for being able to say that you have one!!
I work @ the 5th Avenue Apple Store in NY and i see atleast 2-3 customersdaily with the centurion card, there has got to be more then 17000 cards out in circulation
Artist & music producer Ryan Leslie

I was in a deli at DFW airport in Dallas, TX yesterday & a very plain looking woman in jeans & a t-shirt paid for her sandwhich & tea (maybe $6) with an am ex black card. I was very intrigued since I have heard about how prestigous this card is. She asked the server if she could put a tip on the card for her & the server replied, No ‘mam. So she pulled her LV wallet from her LV purse & dug through a large wad of cash to place a tip into the tip jar. Like I said, I was very intrigued since she was very plain & simple looking & went straight to the internet to research this card more & that led me to this site.
I don’t see what the big deal about these is. I have been a business platinum cardholder for a few years and ever since my first year I have been offered one. We spend an average of 30-50k a month on the card, mostly for business supplied. I’m just too cheap to pay the 5k initiation fee and $2500 annual fee when my platinum gets me everything I need for only $395. And btw, I’m 25 so age and social status are not a factor. Spending history and credit score are all they care about.
Justin Gomolka (CEO Gomvents Corp.)
I’m a waitress at an upscale Las Vegas restaurant.
He’s a big tipper and has a really pretty wife
I work in a 4 star Chicago hotel, and run into a black card every couple of months. Although I would never name a guest who presented a card, I can tell you that I didn’t feel bad for charging one of them $14 for a tuna salad on wheat. He didn’t want the sushi grade ahi, seared to perfection. He asked for the canned. Also the tuna salad came from the employee cafeteria. How’s that for special treatment?
Also, I personally think the card is too heavy to have been made of titanium, which I’ve always experienced to be a very light metal. I did ask tuna salad man, and he said platinum. Pretty sure that one was a joke.
Centurion Cards are a norm for me and my friends…we are 18/19 so anything we want while shopping at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta, we swipe. Its better than my Bank Cards, at least i get points.
a few months ago I checked out ot the “Le Meridien” in Hong Kong and at the counter next to me an American businessman payed his bill with it. Was pretty cool and impressing.
I’ve seen at least 25 black cards in the last 3 years, probably about 45-50 in my life. The first time I saw one (about 1996) I didn’t know what it was. I was a busboy at The country Club resteraunt. One of the waiters asked me if I could run it and take it back to their table. (He thought they were some dead beats by the way they were dressed) I could not swipe it because it didn’t it in cc machine. I asked the manager “What should I do” He said “Do you know what this is?” I didn’t so he explained it to me. A few days later a found out he also had one, he took all the employees out to dinner at another place. This past year I worked in what is one of the top 5 hotels and had a bunch of guests pay with it. Brad Penny from the L.A. Dodgers has one. Also Pharrel the producer. He shows it in Slim Thug’s video “I aint heard of that”
gosh its no big deal it just a small piece of metal ( yes i know my neighbor has one) but i really dont see why every one is makin a big fuss over the”BLACK CARD” my platinum will do me just fine
the guys that started http://www.smokinaphattie.com have one…believe it or not..all of there crazy entertainment is paid with the black card.
Damon Wayans has one. I was in the NBA Store in
New York City. I was going to the counter and Damon
was in front of me buying Lebron James Jersey. He pulled
the CARD out of his pocket and through it on the counter.
I love that card. Asked him for a picture and he obliged.
NiceGuy w/ a classy card.
You can assume that anyone that endorses Amex (Ellen D, Tina Fey, etc.) all have Black Cards. I also read that Amex Board of Directors get a Black Card with the first year’s fee paid.
Tyler Dikman has one, here is a link for proof.
http://www.johnchow.com/the-ultimate-bling-black-amex-centurion/
There are some really nice large, clear photos of Tyler’s card on this link too. Enjoy, and please add him to the list. :o)
I live in NYC and have a black card. I have to know 100 people who have it and see them all the time. There is DEFINITELY more than 17k people with it!!! Amex has some great marketers having us believe the supply is limited. They have perfected the status symbol business model.
As for the card - anyone who tells you the reason they have it other than for show/ego is delusional. As many other posters mentioned the benefits are VERY similar to platinum.
I’m still waiting to see Tyler Dikman on the list of cardholders. Look at my very last post with the link, thank you.
Once Tyler has a Wikipedia page I will think about adding him. This list is not supposed to be a list of everyone that has one
Ok, I understand. He is somewhat of an entrepreunural-celebrity, but I guess no one made a wikipedia add about him yet, lol. Anyway, no problem. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone!! Bye.
-Eddie :o)
im a dancer at the hustler club in new orleans, and this movie prducer guy stops me in my tracks and puts his black card in my face and is like..”here, my friend gave me this” so i passed him by.
i turned back around and stopped in front of him and said”its plastic.” he got all pissy and starts telling me to hold it. i did and its pretty heavy, but i see the damn card like every nite..IM A STRIPPER!, so im like ok..so what? then he surprised me he pulled out a RED AMEX. TIMBALAND dont even have that one. he said so. lmao!
Yeah, Bono was promoting a red AMEX charge-card a year or two ago. It was for something along the lines of famine relief in African; But haven’t heard anything about it since.
i heard madonna has one however i heard that she and michael jackson do not have a “black card” but instead have a special one made for only them. a “white card” i am trying to find it online but so far no luck. does anyone here know of the same rumor?
I know this is a little off the subject, but here’s an official link for more info on the AMEX Red card. http://www.americanexpress.com/pes/uk/benefits/red/microsite/index.shtml
I think the link i recently left is based out of the United Kingdom. Not sure if the red card is offered here in the U.S.
-Eddie :o)
tiger woods
ellen degeneres
robert deniro
donald trump
nick lachey did have one.. until he got divored to jessica, he was taken back down to a platinum.
ps. the only red card is the amex plum business card or the one being advertised by Bono for aids a while back, but the Black card is still the most high end and exclusive. i would know because i work for Centurion.
all yall b**ches are fake and I have one and I just got back from SAKS and Jacob tha Jeweler. And I spent about $25,000 just 2day and I own 2 Lambos and a Ferrari Enzo
I am currently an AMEX-Black cardholder. My firm does plenty of research on fraud for such cardholders. It is funny there is a site designated to the card; and because of that I will share a few things I know. The card can still be made of plastic and originally was. There are; however, several clients that want to be set apart from the “regular” population, hence the Titanium material used. Truth has it that if you are really a big-shot AMEX will make you any card you like. I currently make very large purchases that require the merchant codes that the stripe carries. I would be extremely embarrased if I had to show that everytime I traveled. There are a lot of pretentious people, like the majority of the list above, that feel they don’t receive adequate respect just by being who they are. Part of the persona is to make others feel in awe of them. By the way Bill Gates and Donald Trump, two men I have done work for, think the card is not for them.
Michael says “By the way Bill Gates and Donald Trump, two men I have done work for, think the card is not for them.”
…So does that mean they do not carry the centurion card?
Also, (I don’t have physical proof for this one,) but a friend of mine’s mother did p.r. work a few years ago for Wil Smith and he allegedly showed it (centurion card) to her at some point during their work together.

“The card can still be made of plastic and originally was. There are; however, several clients that want to be set apart from the “regular†population, hence the Titanium material used. Truth has it that if you are really a big-shot AMEX will make you any card you like.”
As someone who works for Amex, I can tell you that thhis is completely incorrect.
Hey All!
I am a South African Amex Platinum holder…..purely because the Platinum is currently the top end card here…no Centurion available yet.
I really wanted to have this card until I read some of the comments made by various Centurion card holders on this and other “Centurion” blogs.
Unfortunately it seems that even Centurion Cards cannot buy class!
P.S.: Please do not doubt my financial abilities or accuse me of having sour grapes….I can assure you of the contrary
Hi again!
Please check the following website….it should answer most of the questions on whether the Centurion Card is made from Plastic or Titanium…
In respons to the post 135. AMEX actually outsources their card production. The magnetic strip is the only important part of the card, regardless of the resources used to make it.
Have a black card and drive a 1998 mini van. Not kidding!! Actually enjoy the reactions. Lets see what this post generates.
Beezy you are living the good life in Catalina Island. I will trade my 98 mini van for a golf cart in a second but my kids keep me here in the south east US. They have the nice cars.
In Puerto Rico, there are some guys who have the famous Black Card. I once went on my birthday with a friend of mine to a strip club and he gave me all the privates that i wanted for the night with any of the girls at the club, I said “no kidding”, so I tried to prove him wrong and went private with all of them. Then, at the end of the night, he passed a Centurion and said “told ya, m#$%(*&^#@er”. Also, Carlos (Topy) Mamery, an excecutive of SBS (Spanish Broadcasting Sistem) has one, everyone in the radio programs put pranks about him and teh “Black Card”…
I had one but got tired of the looks and comments every time I used it. Once, sales reps called her manager over to look at the card and I was in a rush. And, if I say something it only solidifies that I am an asshole. Not worth the hassled. My regular amex works just as good and I get no looks not even a hello. Now the only trouble is Amex won’t leave me alone. The keep wanting to send me a new card. Believe me it’s not “all that” because unless you’re a pretentious shallow asshole it’s not worth getting. Finally, I want to say movie stars don’t get shit if they pull one out on the contrary they may get shit for not having one.
How in the world would you know if stars don`t get shit when they pull out a black card. I know a few black card holders that give millions to charity and are not at all”pretentious shallow assholes”

I am a 23 year old guy from Belfast and I have a Black Card however this card is wasted in N.Ireland as not many places here accept the card and if they do they don’t really know what it is except that it is a credit card (charge card).
The perks are okay but to be honest when booking travel etc with the so called specialist team the prices are heavily inflated!!
I called today to book some VIP tickets to see my favourite DJ - Tiesto as the tickets were now sold out. The great thing is if this happens and you want tickets for a gig you will most likely get them but albeit at a very inflated cost.
The tickets had a face value of £37.00 and I was quoted well over £200.00 for the same tickets and they were not even Vip Tickets…. Standing only!!!!
Anyhow a great card for going to London with but all in all not great for Ireland!!!!
My best friend of 20 years and Biz partner Nolan Cellini, diamond/platinum importer, has one… he and I were sitting in tattered jeans at a dinner meeting with a pin stripped guy that was bragging about he just bought a 911 Porsche with a amex credit card and was trying to get us to “invest” into his new business… Nolan pulled his out, his black card, :), and said does it look like this. Then he began to pick his teeth with it. He then offered to play “rock, paper, scissors” with the guy for his car… the guy left in embarrasment. We got in Nolans Ford F150 and drove off….. Nolan uses his to purchase his inventory from around the world…. He is very low key usually, it was the only time he’s ever, “one-upped” someone that I know of.
I work in a big night club in stockholm, I handle black amex on a daily basis. mostly ceo’s have them, the only people i remember having them are Paul Anka, His majesty prins Hakon of norway, The two sons of king hussien,(don’t remember from where in the middle east) pavarotti(but he’s dead.) Uma Thurman and Tom Cruise. I also see alot
of black plastic amex’s, but I don’t know what the difference is between the metal and the plastic amex black.
peace. Jamel
Maynard james keenan.. spent over $70,000 on aussie wine… plus a bit more on a magnum of grange hermitage… $75,000
I just went on a date in boston, paid with the black card, for 2 coffees and a light lunch. I almost shit my pants, the cashier took a minute to compute. never would have guessed. Pulls rank for a second date.
This guest checked in at my hotel Westin and had one …..italian guy …. totally down to earth he asked me if we had a Maybach dealership in town
I have a reliable source. That says Rusty Wallace now has the Black Card. He was out with one of his racing buddies and he pulled out the black card. The next day had one.
John Kitna, quarterback for the Detroit Lions, has one. My boyfriend is in sales and sold him some expensive equipment and he paid for it with his Amex-Black Business card. And yes, my boyfriend said it is definitely heavy and made out of a metal.
I work in a restaurant, and waited on the restaurant’s owner today. He paid with his Black card. I think I got to hold it on one other occasion, when another server waited on him and called the rest of us over to touch it, saying “… because it’s probably the only chance you’re going to get.” It is pretty cool to hold and see….
I know it’s really materialistic and shallow to be impressed by nothing but money, but it is a cool card, and its rarity made me feel happy and excited.
i work at best buy and the other day i helped some guy pick out an ipod case.. he was very polite, and i spent a good amount of time with him helping him pick out the perfect one for his wife. he wasnt interested in looking at just the expensive ones and he ended up getting her a cute little pink one for liek 15$… when we got to the register he paid with his black card and shook my hand thanking me for my help. i was pretty damn suprised that he was so nice and down to earth, because other people ive rung up with a black card act all entitled and you can tell they expect a reaction from us “little people” when they hand it over, haha. its ridiculous, but im not gonna sit here saying that its “no big deal”.. they are pretty tight and exciting to swipe. plus, it kinda adds to the dramatic effect because they are always so cold and heavy haha
Pharrel Williams paid with his one (Star trak Productions) when i served him in Selfridge’s in London. 2006
What about tiger woods he has a deal with AMEX? My Uncle was one of the first people in the world to have one.
witch is the price that usually pays for mantennace? I still wondering witch are the big benefits? My family has the Platinum so we think we are going to receive the aplicayyion ofr this new product…
My wife and I each had our own Centurion cards before we got married. We then had them merged.
I have often wondered to myself whether Amex extends the privilege of a Centurion Card to the President of the United States as a courtesy. I doubt Amex would disclose such information on the basis of mere curiosity.
I have a green card that I love using on a regular basis. Sometimes when I’m feeling like i want to be an insecure attention seeking jerk, I whip out some cheap black paint and and give it a good going over. This means that sometimes I also have a black amex. ( Please note : let the paint dry before using it!). More importantly DONT GET TOOO EXCITED.
I am sure the people that you give that fake card to are laughing at you. You do sound like a clown.
There is no limit on centurian cards. New titanium cards get couriered to the customers front door in a block of glass where they are presented with a hammer to break open the glass and retrieve their card. FACT
I work at an Apple store and a guy came into the store and bought some kid’s games with one. It was cool. He worked for or owned a trading firm. He looked normal and didn’t flash it around or anything.
Well I have one (actually two). I reckon my wife spent too much at our local supermarket in Wales with the platinum one - hence the upgrade :-). Amex invited me. It came in a flash box and I get the usual stuff - posh brochures for swish holidays in amazing hotels etc. I bought a chicken tikka wrap, diet coke and a carton of blueberries with it lunchtime. Yum Yum. I kid you not. Hmmm. Its just a card. The only time I really enjoyed using it was at a night out with the lads when some ‘posh bloke’ was bragging about a friend of his who worked ‘in the city’ might just get one this year. When I pulled my card out he was shocked, when I pulled out the other one I thought we would have to resusciate him. For the son of a coalminer I thought - hey - does that mean I’ve achieved something - hurrah - at last!? Anyway…have fun…
i work at a deli in new jersey in one of the more expensive shore towns during the summer and i’ve seen a fair share of black cards. they’re quite intimidating to hold! i don’t know who they people were…no one famous, but obviously they have a bit of money! i just like to hold them and stare when i’m running them through the credit card machine… i will never ever have one on a teacher’s salary unfortunately.
I worked on a porn shoot 2 years ago & the director sent me to the liquor store to stock up on booze for a party we threw for the cast & crew at the end of the shoot. He gave me his AMEX black to use. The guy behind the counter almost didn’t take it because he didn’t think it was a “real” AMEX. I told him “trust me…it’s the real deal”…LOL.
My husband and I, and our fiends all have one, it’s no big deal, but we do like the service, for example we live in the UK, and we always use AMEX to book our holidays, we do nothing apart from pay for it. It’s not that recognized here.
There is no limit, we have in the past bought cars on it, and the dealers are reluctant due to high commission they have to pay.
It’s a normal card just black with platinum writing.
I used to work at Target as a cashier and I remember ringin normal looking ppl and they would pay with the black card. I would say that I saw/held about 15 while I work there… one customer I remember vividly b/c she inserted the card into the card reader and it got stuck… that one card in particular was made out of Titanium… but I saw both the plastic ones [mostly foreign cardholders] and titanium ones. I work at Macy*s and have been working there since october and have yet to see one…
We have a black american express. Although it is cool to have it and see the looks you get I still dont think it has made anyones status improve. We still belive we are just as good as we were when we had the platinum hell the basic bank card for that matter. Obtaining the black card has nothing to do with status and all to do with ambission. We use the black american express for things as simple as Doritos at the gas station in the end its just a card.
I know A Venezuelan citizen with a BLACK CARD he spend … in my store, G. Aletti is your name, ….Goverment people???? no…
I work at FAO Schwarz at Fifth Ave in NYC and I’ve seen quite afew Black cards. The most recent ones was from the CEO of the NJ Devils, and Donald Trump Jr.
Hey ppl,
Whats all the fuss about? I am 16 Yr old guy who owns:
- The Black Card (all my brothers and dad have it!) I leave it around like as if its nothing!
- I have the following cars: Ferrari 460 Spyder, Aston Martin DBS(Dads), Shelby GT-500, Lamborgini Murcielago and a Range Rover Vogue sports version(dads)!-I’m loving it like crazy!
- 2 Mansions in spain, A arch Tower in Dubai and a mansion in Kuwait! Currently living in England- Bishopsgate Road N17.
- Family owned boat-never used!
How?…My dads a director of a worldwide Oil company and a Owner of property Investment Company in Dubai.
Ahhh….Enjoy life!
I went to college w/ a 19 year old that had one. Granted, I went to an expensive school, $30k annually. I’ll never we went to the mall, she dropped $10k+ in Saks, and filled up the back of my SUV with other useless junk she swiped her card for. I was stunned as she pulled out her card, handed it to the lady @ the counter, and proceeded to be escorted around Saks w/ people grabbing whatever she said. She was Jewish, her parents were attorneys (haha). Even though she had just begun culinary school, her parents had already begun building her own restaurant.. Crazy for a 19 year old kid! Her dad called and asked her about the bill. She said, “Daddy, I needed some new clothes” and that was the end of it. She always paid for our food where ever we went. Rich girl… I shoulda married that chick!
Also, my buddy’s dad has one. They own a chain of Mexican restaurants. He uses it daily for random purchases. $25k on remodeling his living room w/ heated marble floors. 40″+ LCDs in every room in the house, $60k in renovations to ONE restaurant. Brand new Navigator, Escalade, Beach House!!! Got it made!
If you don’t have the money in the bank a black card isn’t going to do anything for you. If you can’t pay for it in cash you shouldn’t be buying it. REMEMBER, CASH IS KING.
The black card is not revolving credit–You have to pay for what you charge at the closing date of the monthly statement. It is better than paying cash because you get up to 30 days float plus lots of points that turn into great gift cards or special promos. I love it!!!
HEY EVERYONE
GET A LIFE THIS IS SITE ABSOLUTELY IS FILLED WITH THE MOST USELESS “BULL” I HAVE EVER READ IT WOULD BE FUNNY BUT SO PITTAFUL AS TO ANYONE WHO IS SO WRAPPED UP OVER A STUPID CARD IF YOU HAVE REAL MONEY, YOU SHOULD BE SECURE IF YOU DO NOT, THEN WHY WORRY. AND IF YOU DO AND NEED TO BRAG, WELL, YOU REALLY ARE SAD. EVERYONE ELSE,,,,,GO GET ANOTHER JOB AND SAVE YOUR MONEY AND MAYBE ONE DAY YOU WILL HAVE MONEY TO HAVE A BLACK CARD
WOW!!! Hey Reality check. Why don`t you rub a couple of your nickels together and find someone to talk to about your feelings of inadequacy. You said it yourself “if you do not (have real money), then why worry”.—— You seem alittle worried.
I and a few other co-workers own AMEX black cards for two reasons: a) I’m a senior marine engineer/deep sea diver a major salvage company (the profits my teammates and I earn are high enough for use to own the cards even though we’re technically not “millionaires,” b) We’re forced to use AMEX black cards for major business purchases quickly such as aircraft/tugboat charter, industrial machinery purchases, first class international air travel, etc.
Im surprised that these things arent ALL smartcards (not just the EU ones) Swiping is soo 1988…
Just a Costco Amex Card fer now, But when I hit the MegaMillions jackpot, I’m bettin’ on Black
Costco AMEX is the BOMB!
Just bought a cap at the Nike Town in London during my trip. Cashier at the counter was like, haven’t seen one of these in a while! Made me feel special
Are the points/rebate on the centurion card that much better?
Hey Johnnie don’t get personal, material things are not going to bring you any sort of happiness just the fleeting illusion of it. If u true beleive that then u need to stop sniffing that unleaded gasoline at $3.75 a pop! Oh my bad you have a black-card right.
Hey Justin–You have to pay better attention. I was just responding to the anger thrown out to this site by Reality Check (#201). Perhaps you wrote #201 and don`t have the balls to ID yourself. Yes, I have a black card and I love it. Improve your reading retention and learn how to spell and maybe you will do better in life. I do have to admit that I really enjoy pissing people off that hate people with money. The friends that I have (that have money) all contribute a great deal to society. It is character flaw to hate someone only because they have more money. Don`t you think.
My 28 year old friend from Dallas, Texas has one. (and yes it’s his and not his parents) His name is Thomas Lucas and he works in Commercial Real Estate. I personally am not impressed by the business version. You are spending company money and are always reimbursed.
i agree with you daniel, the business one isn’t very impressive- quite easy to hit 250k in spend. i’m 25 and have the black card (on my own) and think that the centurion for business really should be closer to 500k. dilutes the brand image
Found this by accident…No, I dont have one and dont know anyone else who does—-with that said, THIS is just another example of elite-ism and BS consumerism that is destroying the world.
I work for tmobile and there is a guy that comes in with the last name of buckles i dont remember his first name but we just call him buckles
I have seen two of them at work, and the only thing that impresses me about it…the weight. That’s a heavy piece of spending power! The first time someone handed me one, I had to think about it for a minute, and I just thought that maybe american express decided to give people an option to have a more durable card. But again, man…those things are heavy…
I work in the Newport Beach area in a dry cleaners, Theres one middle eastern guy, Rami Riggi hes about 20, that comes in with a Black Ferrari Enzo, brings 4-5 suits, drops them and later picks them up using a Black Amex…Was really something to hold….I did some research on him, turns out his father is a car collecter in Dubai…
I am a driver for a limousine service in Manhattan and I picked up a client from Newark airport last week who used one. He was relatively young looking so I kept the sign with his name on it to search on internet when I got off work. I was out after work and forgot to search his name but i came across this web site today as well as had time to put his name in internet. I discovered he is the CEO of a pharmaceutical company. I hope i don’t get fired for this, his name is Sam Karsch and the company is Med-Seach based out of Fort Lauderdale.
My dad has it, but hates the attention it gets him, so he has an extra platinum card issued with his name on it. He uses it strictly for travel and business expenses, and uses his Citibank AA Mastercard for personal transactions.
Among the perks he’s gotten are broadway tickets and VIP winery tours in France and Argentina, and after a few phone calls, he got me Red Sox tickets at Fenway this coming May.
Greetings from Panama. Great site. Very informative. I have a business that spends a ton (unfortunately) every month and I put a lot of those expenses on my Platinum. I have been thinking about upgrading to the Centurion for quite sometime (hence the reason for my visit to this site). It seems that there are three types of “black” cardholders. 1) the individual like myself who isn’t necessarily worth more than $10 million but who owns a business that spends in excess of $20,000 per month, 2) the individual whose net worth is such that with a simple phone call call could be a new centurion member, 3) the children (many ignorant to what it takes to make money) whose parents either loan them the card, or gift them one at some point in their life. I would hope that those of us in column 1 or 2 are not lumped together with those brats (not all) in column 3.
Oh…and my business partner has one (so as to be relevant to the thread).
Cash is not king. Gold, silver, platinum physical metals are king. Goods you can barter, think great depression but globally. Coffee beans, cigarettes, liquore, spices and herbs.
In less than 5 months, the cards will be collecting dust. The tower must fall, the change is almost near.
I have one and gave one to my wife for her birthday - When asked why my card is so heavy, I reply “the more wife charges the heavier it gets”
LOL… Samantha b… the centurion log-in URL isn’t remotely similar to this one, so not sure how you accidentally got here. And there is no “Titanium Card” to upgrade to, if you’ve been / are a Centurion (Black) cardholder, then you know that a couple of years ago our plastic cards were replaced with cards (black) containing titanium metal… to catch U.S. cardholders up with the Europeans who had already been receiving replacement or new BLACK centurions made with titanium instead of just plastic — and, yes, just like the metal, they’re very light-weight and you can’t tell the difference between them and the plastic ones, except now the card itself has some (little) commodity value.
GOOD LUCK finding your log-in and “getting that upgrade”… LOL
My card has much more weight than any of my plastic cards. It is very noticable when you hold it. I am sure that different “runs” on the card potentially could have produced slightly different results.
Several of the people on this board sound like the biggest tools in the world!!! Hey, D-bags… no card will make your wiener any bigger. And if it nets you more box… I ‘m sure it’s just the kind of quality box you want.
The truth is that this gay card is offered to EVERYONE who has a $250,000 spend through. That means just about everyone that owns a business of $10M or more that has a corporate AMEX account with several cards hooked to it is eligible. Real exclusive.
They GIVE the card to some celebrities and athletes to flash around so the ass clowns like the one’s commenting on this site will ante up $7500 for the 1st year to have one. The reason why it has a $5000 one-time fee is because most people, even the tools that get it in the first place, realize that anyone who pays $7500 to hold a black charge card is hilariously pathetic.
Don’t get me wrong - I’m all about luxury items…. cars, homes, my wife’s jewelry, watches, etc. But people are paying $7500 to look cool at check out. Only an ignorant fool would do that.
Furthermore, the people on this site that really do have a Centurion card and feel it necessary to blog about the fact they a Centurion card…. have a serious inferiority problem. I’m sorry you got your ass kicked by football players in high school.
Stick with the Platinum, you get all the same important benefits and you don’t look like a pretentious idiot.
‘Nuff said!
AK
“Tools”–”D-bags”-”Make your wiener bigger”–”Gay card”–”Ass clowns”–Ass kicked by Football players”—WOW!! AK, you have some work ahead of you. Good Luck with it.
AK,
Had you done your research, you’d know that spending on a corporate card does NOT count toward the $250K. Only spending on personal and business cards. And yes - there is a difference between business and corporate cards…
F
HEY AK maybe in your next life you can get one you sound quite jealous
when you have one then you can talk about it
For those who are card members, “It’s only a card, You are the card holder not the card. There is a saying, “you a driving the car not the car.” Therefore, to have the card is an achievement but only if you are self made.
I have one, 3 friends have one. Its not so exclusive in california anymore.. I do better getting into restaurants through personal connections, though it does well in Vegas.
There’s some guy by the name of Adam Iqueda that has one…he usually comes in with a flock of girls to a club I work at in Hollywood, he’s a really young guy to.
That riggi guy you talked about with the black Ferrari Enzo and card is on youtube in some 360 Challenge Stradale
I have one. Love it. You don’t get this card for the benefits, they’re good, but you get most of them with the platinum anyway. You get this card because you can.
If you get it from daddy (like several of the above comments) it probably doesn’t have the same meaning, but if you work you’re way up from nothing it’s pretty satisfying to see the look on peoples faces when you pay with it.
You nailed it Matt. Work hard-Live Life-Find your own fun. The mystery of this card (if you own one) is fun and satisfying.
in the start in germany at april 2000, (green card beginning 1986, gold in 91, platinum in 92) i become on the first launch date monday at 9am clock from a courier service a shipment and open. Centurion Card. funny was, i ask my PL service mrs hartmann, wednesday in the week before and become info is a lies this card, but i order with fax a black card for me and my wife. i open the card on monday with the call on the hotline and then i call under the 0800 number the centurion service. who was on the phone? mrs hartmann, centurion card service, same lady who told me card is lies. he laugh, he have seen in the system i am a vip priority who must become the card on first launch date. my fax who i send, was pinned on the memory board in the centurion service and the print vip also near, so all laugh, this men is deep cool, order via fax a card who is not aviable and is first day vip. we both laugh very long time on the phone and i was happy and used the card first time in the 5 stars hotel at the bar. so comes the general manager and tell me on arabella (catched from sheraton years later and now westin grand) hotel you a vip and on car rentals for big cars who need two major card, presented centurion, all open eyes and say THIS card is enough. also upgrades all flights from bussines to 1st and many benefits. i have only pay so around 100.000 to 200.000 german in a few years, evry year, for my company with my PL card and become all full refound. so was not my money but i have the value as vip. funny was in regulary shops in germany, also hertie, kaufhof or other, show the card, from time to time i see in background older people shocked so a young man has this card but the cashier ask me, why black? i told him: is only for black money (named in germany “Schwarzgeld” (cashmoney who is near the authority of law and tax), or have painted with edding.
in the year 2004 i cancel my centurion card, in germany was PL card 800 German mark in 1999 and 2000 and centurion higher, also then 1000 euro in beginning end 2001 to 2002 who change german mark in euro, and i have change the company in 2003 and the fee was for my use too high and the service was good, but not perfect. no more flights or hotels, also was this card fee not refound (pay 7800 mark for a 1st class flight to JNB, regularay 13.000 mark) so i cancel my membership and use now my diners and Master-visa cards.
i am one of the first member in germany who have the centurion card in the launch in the year 2000, but i can say, i dont missed the card. sun in the eyes, wind in the air and a good healty is better as a card who is only black and all see the card and not the human behind the card. behind is priority, not the money.
sorry for my bad english.
Greeiting from germany
Ron
PS, the last card i ask amex, can i hold in my home, answer was is ended and let in your home, is not working but you dont must destroy. so the card and my wifes card is in the homeoffice behind a glass displayed.
memories, no more.
Haha, ‘Maze9mm’, you brought a laugh to my morning!
“I am 16 Yr old guy who owns the Black Card”: tosh. One has to be over the age of 18, by law, to be issued with a credit card, whether it be on your father’s account or not. In addition, there is no ‘Bishopsgate Road’ within the N17 postcode. Similarly, within said postcode the most expensive houses go for around half-a-million pounds; I sincerely doubt whether one would find a, “Ferrari 460 Spyder, Aston Martin DBS, Shelby GT-500, Lamborgini [sic.] Murcielago and a Range Rover Vogue sports version” on the drive.
Oh, it’s good to laugh!
To all of you Black Card holders, How many hungry, poor, homeless and sick people do you help? $2,500 annual fee?!! This much money will put a smile on hundreds of poor hungry kids!!!.
Hey Alex R.–How much did you pay in taxes (to support programs and assistance) and give to charity last year? I bet every single black card holder beat you in this catagory. Put up or shut up!!!
I’m a chef for a private jet charter company in atlanta. Theres a life style management company that caters to nothing other than black card holders. I have seen the clients I chef for slice “CHEEKS” with black cards during mile high parties above the clouds arranged by this company.
http://www.TheParisFirm.com they cater to allot of whales with black cards.
I’m young, 26 yrs old and have one. Once, I went to Louis Vuitton in NYC and got really mistreated so when i payed for what i got, i took my black card to make a point. Needless to say, the next time i was in there…they pretty much “rolled” out the red carpet!
I met this amazingly hot guy one night in DC named Adam. He was with a bunch of ugly guys who thought they were the shit, but this guy Adam was actually pretty laid back. I remember him wearing jeans and an AT&T shirt haha He had an amazing personality and we hit it off. He was from NY and said he could get into any club in NY with his outfit…and then he pulled out his black AMEX to fly us to NY to prove it. I fell even more in love =)
I heard it costs around $1000 now for just one big rig truck to fill up the tank with a diesel fuel. So any truck driver paying with AmEx should be able to get invited - that is just 250 fill-ups a year!
Hi,
I found this website thru google search, can anyone please email me any black amex digits, first 6 ones, I am doing a research thesis paper for algorythmic evaluation and analysis when these cards are being pocessed thru the bank by verifying their Luhn check summ.
I would appreciate that,
Greg Sandler,
milkywaymail AT gmail.com (this is my email, sorry for mix up)
Hi guys my uncle has one he’s a home developer in CA and I have a Platinum card hopefully I will have my own card in a couple of years.
P.S. Hey reality check your comment is the dumbest thing that I have ever heard, if you don’t have anything good to say don’t visit this site and leave stupid comments dumbass.
George Maloff who owns The Palms in Las Vegas has a Centurion. I checked him out of The Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona and he used it to pay.
i do not understand why people hate on this card so much
I do no thave one but hope to one day just because i thinks they are cool; critical people make it sound like only soulless egotists want/have/comment on them. There is a cosmetic dentist in my town which is about 80-100k people in north carolina he is reported/rumored to have one, a friend said he used it to fill up the gas tanks of several jetskis. he is one of the coolest/nicest people i know, taken me to couple basketball games in very good seats.
so when people leave comments about starving children and overmaterialized people i say it is a hyped, very prestigious, advantageous credit card nothing more nothing less. the hype and secrecy lend to websites like this, its only natural. the people that say it doesnt matter are probably the same ones that dont care about their car or clothes etc, and that is ok, just don’t critiscize other people who do care. I consider myself a person of morals and semi-devout catholic, i believe it is ok to have money as long as money does not have you.
thanks
JW
I am 32 and recently got my black card. I am an internet marketer and our company uses Centurion to book all of our travel as well as pay for other various business expenditures. Sure it’s prestigious, but I am more excited about the travel and fringe benefits.
If you’re going to spend this type of money year to year, then why not get the best card out there?
Why all the hating in these comments. I’d think hating on our politicians when THEY fly around on private jets and piss away millions courtesy of our tax dollars would be more productive than worrying about how others spend their money.
Hating on people and calling them elitist for being successful business people who are smart enough to take advantage of the benefits Centurion offers is just one reason some of you haters will never experience being a black card holder.
JE
Thank You!!!!!!!! I am loving the recent comments here. Maybe some of the haters can read and learn the key to success and happiness.
Ryan Leslie, owner of a brand of music called Next Selection, holds a Black Card. He is a producer, song writer and singer located in Harlem, NYC.
So - I work at a mall in Palm Beach Gardens at a specialty retail store - and it’s actually a rare day when I do NOT see an AMEX Black … and I don’t get the plastic black - I get the metal ones all the time, although mostly the personal cards which have different text color than the business cards that many CEO’s carry around (silver vs gold lettering).
You guys list a ton of celebrities, but there are a lot of people who have these who are not celebs. And I don’t believe the anonymous post about most being foreigners.(whoever spelled it UNANIMOUS - unanimous means all together at once, whereas ANONYMOUS means without specific attributed name or title so as to remain in confidence … someone needs to brush up on their vocab and spelling, haha). The Palm Beach area holds the 2% richest people in the world, and I see more boob-jobbed trophy blondes with Amex Black than anything else. haha
Discussing the black card with a friend who works in new accounts for AmEx. He said that Oprah not only has one but is the cardholder that suggested the card be made out of titanium (and if Oprah wants it Oprah gets it).
thanks to allan who confirms that you do not have to be a big name celeb to have a black card. I am now nearly certain the aforementioned dentist has one. he is currently in the process of purchasing a dodge viper, I was very disappointed to learn he pays for cars by certified check.
JW
I have had the black card since its first inception to the UK. Seeing as I went through the ranks Green, Gold, Platinum and Black I can only express my disgust with the way Amex (UK) treat their most sought after Black Card Holders. In the begining it was fantastic, 1 on 1 service, great upgrades, ‘respect’ from AX employees, though that has long gone.
Without question, Amex used the secrecy surrounding the black card to market it in a very clever way and uped their Platinum members from paying £120 per annum to £650 per annum.
I have spent in excess of £500′000 with american express and I vow to never use or touch any of their services again.

A disgruntled 20 year member of Amexican Express
Clarification regarding post #247
Amex will issue cards to your children at age 14 if there card is subordinate to your Centurion Account. Minors are allowed to carry and use this card in their own name linked to an adult’s account. Thought you might like to know.
Steven Tyler of Aerosmith carries one. He was next to me purchasing items at a store in Boston and pulled out his black Amex to trump my platinum Amex.
People, if you want it today you get it today, no matter even if you are stranger to the amex. I have a private bank account in Europe with close to 5mn$ cash in it. I called them to check what they can offer to me as charge card. They said: you can choose visa black or amex black or if you dont want to pay this extra fees you can choose from the whole list of ordinary card including amex plat. I opted for amex black and my bank called amex and insisted (before they bragged one year and shit) but then my bank compelled them and i have it within ten days. the metal and plastics all. the fees chaged was regular 2.7k$. So if you got balls you have it.
Add to the known cardholder list, Young Mogul Chaka Fattah Jr., the founder of luxury concierge service American Royalty.
I read about Chaka in Black Enterprise, Forbes.com, MSNBC.com, and ChakaFattahJr.com
Bubba The Love Sponge Clem (his legal name) from Howard 101 on Sirius has one. He talks about it every once in a blue moon.
To George who commented:
“One has to be over the age of 18, by law, to be issued with a credit card, whether it be on your father’s account or not.”
This is not true. Amex will issue supplemental cards to anyone 14 years old or older. I gave my nephew a black card on my account (for travel benefits) when he was 15.
I live in Palm Beach were 9 of the 10% of the americans who have it live and its very common to see it everywhere. Some people who you would never suspect just wip it out!
I know this couple with one and I am here to put the fiance on blast they are engaged. The female takes advantage of it constantly spending thousands on handbag and shoes and he allows her to she uses and abuses the privilage he needs a woman like me
Lisa Raye- and her husband the prime minister of Turks & Caicos have black cards…
She came into my office and made a purchase, cant say where i work tho, lol
“I live in Palm Beach were 9 of the 10% of the americans who have it live…”
Incorrect. Amex marketing materials state the top 3 U.S. cities for Centurion cardholders (as per their billing addresses) are 1. New York, NY; 2. Los Angeles, CA; and 3. Greenwich, CT. Palm Beach is not even in the top 10.
FYI.. to anyone who includes Canada as a country who currently has a Centurion, they are incorrect. As of yet, Canada does no t yet have the card.
Anyone who works for the Black Card (Centurian Card) group at AMEX…many employees, also own Black Cards. The spending, etc. requirements are waived. Keep that in mind the next time you see someone carrying a card, it definitely doesn’t mean they’re rich.
ive never held one and dont intend to if its someone elses, BUT im gonna get one by the time im 30 thats 7 years from now!!!!!!!!!!
[...] (actually the Centurion Card) is truly a card for the well off (like John McCain and many Hollywood celebs, too). Wikipedia has a run down on it. And of course, there is a blog on it [...]
Gene Simmons has one. They mentioned it during his MTV roast and his “wife” flashed it on TV…apparently he never gets to hold it, LOL.
I work for American Express and primarily deal with OPEN and Corporate cards, many Centurion cards included. I stumbled upon this site and I find it comical and intriguing. The “Black Card” is absolutely in a class of it’s own and it is things like this site that just reiterate that fact.
To respond to some of the above:
It IS possible to add an addtional card to someone 14 years or older. That is only available to Platinum and Centurion cardholders that carry Personal cards. If you have a Platinum or Centurion account and it is an OPEN (Small Business) card, the additional must be 18 years or older.
Employees in the United States do not have any special treatment in reference to the waiver of annual fees and spend requirements. We are all shareholders and we understand the benefits attached to a card with an annual fee as well as the fact that American Express offers many options of cards that do not have any fees attached.
Just thought I would settle a few of the conflicting comments above…
Are you people for real? Credit card geeks!?? This forum is actually riveting!! Can you not see that all of you are a complete bunch of idiots? I can’t believe I am taking the time to write a comment. I have no doubt most of you masterbate constantly to some old scrap of a magazine stashed under your beds. That freaky little place your mom never cleans. Get a life
I can’t believe I am posting this either but if you got money…you buy things cash. Just another way to measure your dick. You can see this card used on any given night down in Atlantic City by no less then 100 idiots. Get over it.
“Known Cardholders”??? I am willing to bet you are a creepy little sniffer of dirty underwear. Yes, a “known” sniffer
Well T-i-m-m-y, you are half right about being “sniffers”, only not the childish comment you made about underwear. We sniff out great investments, great education, great coaches, great jobs, we act on great opportunities and surround ourselves with quality people with common goals. Judging by geo`s and your post–to us you fall into the “clown” catogory. Try to think outside your little smelly box that you have created for yourself–Than you might have a chance. Good Luck!!
Hey Timmy didn’t say something about “bunch-of-idiots” blogging on this site, then you turned around and did so twice. You’re now an offical IDIOT MEMBER! Enjoy.
I used work for this family owned business here in Northern Cali. My ex boss pays all her bills with her Black Amex. I was frozen when she told me that she just got approved for Black Amex. This was like early last year! Admin do you want her name? =)
Me and 3 of my friends have this card, Its very overrated, and there is nothing super about it, except the crazy fee they charge, especially the first year. There have been may instances where something was soldout, or fully booked and they said there is nothing they can do. Maybe if you call, and tell them your name is Michael Jackson, these tickets would suddenly appear.
i work in a golf store and a woman rang up a hefty bill..then she pulled out the black card.at first i couldnt believe it was a credit card beacuse the weight of it..much heavier then any other credit card..anyway apparently she lives in the carribean.
My Best Friend, Joe, has one. and Yes it is so fun to go to dinner and see peoples reactions. They are the kazam. And his a good tipper. Awesome…
Fabian Basabe used his to check in at a hotel where I was the Front Desk Manager. This was in 2005. He was just fresh from Filthy Rich Cattle Drive on E.
I am not sure how I found this site but my boss
has a Black Amex, as well as the Black Card from Merrill Lynch, The Black Wells Fargo BusinessLine Card, The Black Citi Diamond Preferred Card, not to mention his other 20 something credit cards. Our service works with credit Fico-911. I’ll be happy to explain our one of kind service, that being guaranteed deletion of derogatory credit items. Track me down
Did anyone mention Shaq. Yo he went into west coast customs and put 5 custom cars including a T-Rex on his black card
I’m mid-thirties, male, living in the NYC area. I run a small company that spends enough for me to qualify. My spending is mostly business-related, and so how much I spend and how much I make are two very different things. I’m certainly well below the average wealth and income levels of centurion card holders.
But it was only after dealing with Amex for years, and having the platinum card — and being very satisfied with them — that it was more a curiosity than anything else, just how much better the service could be. Besides, as other posters have mentioned, many of the perks you get with centurion are similar if not identical to platinum.
Despite high expectations, I was (and continue to be) absolutely amazed by how excellent the card is, how convenient the services, and valuable the assurances. I use the concierge once every week or two, and they always take amazing care of me, and save me a great deal of time and headache. The travel services are also great. A simple example: last night, I wanted a nice dinner, then to be guest-listed at a hot club, and then a hotel room. A quick call, and the entire night was set. They even got me amazing hotel rates, and know all my preferences (e.g. non-smoking, king size bed, etc.)
People don’t always talk about the other perks of this card..probably because many of them are similar if not identical to the Platinum. But I’ve had expensive hardware go bad, and out of warranty. Called Amex, and they just took care of it. I had a very expensive high-end bike get stolen, and Amex took care of it. I rented a car, and while it was parked, someone hit the passenger door. I didn’t even know about it until I returned the car. The car rental guy showed me the damage, and I was shocked, immediately wondering how much it would cost me, as I didn’t buy the optional insurance. But again, Amex covered it (I called Amex from the dealership…never heard about it again). I Had to go to Vegas for a convention, and bought cheap economy tickets…Amex’s travel department made sure I was bumped up to first class. And last month, when I lost my wallet, I called Amex, and they made sure that every one of my cards was canceled and immediately replaced. Truthfully, for $2500/yr, I don’t know how they do it.
I only know two others who have the card. One of them, a close friend (film producer), and the other this very cute girl I met at a bar downtown, and then went out with once (very mysterious…still wonder about her). I think she downplayed having the card, explaining that she worked for her father’s rather large company, and got it that way. But the one time we went out, she passed by the Gucci store and spent a few grand right there. I’d never been to the Gucci store before that.
I have several wealthy friends and customers, many of whom easily qualify for the card. Every time the black card came up in conversation, they all generally said the same thing, which is that they get what they need from the amex platinum (or even gold) cards. I think that’s fine too…If you don’t feel you need the extra perks, then why spend the extra money? These guys definitely don’t need any more bragging rights.
If there’s anyone out there reading this, who qualifies for the card, but is on the fence about it, I hope you take my advice, and just get it. If you travel at least twice a year, then it should be a no-brainer. If you like to go out a lot, and are too lazy to plan, then get it. If you own a business, and want to further protect your investments (for example, by extending a 3-year warranty to a 6-year warranty), then get it. And hopefully, even if you don’t feel you’ll break even with the card on paper, you’ll enjoy the comforts and assurances the card affords you when you least expect it.
I have one. I don’t see what the big deal is. You still have to pay the bill at the end of the month.
some of these posts are very funny. seriously it isn’t such a big deal, my parents have one it is just a card. However I will give you credit some of the looks the shop assistants give off is very amusing! I remeber when mum bought some things in Myer Brisbane city, and the girl actually called a manger to if it was real (she didnt realise amex did a black card)
The manager wouldnt stop saying sorry :-/
Apart from some of the fun it causes I don’t see the major deal.
Bill Campbell, former Chairman of the Board of Intuit has one.
He played for and coached the Columbia University Lions and, as an alum, was a regular at the annual “Gold Dinner” held at the Downtown Athletic Club in Manhattan that honored graduating seniors (the club was essentially destroyed in the 9/11 attacks and the Heisman is no longer presented there). It was tradition for Bill to fund the bar tab following the dinner and I distinctly remember being mesmerized at the jet black card wielded by him at the end of the bar. I’ve seen only one other one during my 18 years in Manhattan at a high-end children’s store on the east side of Manhattan, and that person was obviously not from this country.
I was just browsing the internet for articles related to the card, and for some reason I decided to post on here. I have been a platinum member for going on 10 years now and was looking for something better.
My company spends well over 3million a year in supplies for clients ect…
So I decided to get the card.
It is amazing.
The service is basically the same as the Platinum card with a few exceptions.
My monthly bill is around 50k, and the card helps with that immensely.
Celine Dion has one…
Her centurion was recently declined while buying a few dresses in a boutique at LA
I just received my card last week. I own a business and through my business I put about 1 million per year on my Platinum card before being asked to join.
I have used the card about 10 times so far and it is interesting to see the reactions. I try to stay very low key about using the card and only 2 of the 10 times did the person accepting the card “know” what it was.
Anyway, I will report back when I use the concierge to let you all know how it works and if it is generally “usable” versus booking our own travel.

We have a black card. We’ve had it since 2000 I think. Supposedly, we were one of the first invited to get it but who knows. I didn’t realize there was this much hype over them! I was actually looking for the mailing address to the Centurion Travel Service in Phoenix and came across this site. People are definitely taken aback by the card but please note: if you travel to Europe, it tends to jam their little hand held credit card machines they use in restaurants and some of their regular machines. My husband always carries his gold card as well for situations like that. The travel and concierge are awesome. We use it all the time. They’ll get you into restaurants, shows, clubs, etc that most would normally never get into.
Come on Jessica—You always knew there was alot of hype over the Black Card. You are no different than me and all the other black card holders, we love the attention that it brings. It makes for an exciting night out at diner or a club. The black card is for people with large egos. Like me. I think that is a good thing. The large ego helps you strive for success.
Ron Howard the child actor and now award winning director is a black card holder. Also University of Louisville B-Ball coach Rick Pitino and close pal Joe Irocane are both black card holders.
im 18, living in london and my dad just got me a Natwest Black and also Amex black for my 18th birthday
use these in clubs and they treat you like a king!!
How come its supposed to be sooo exclusive yet i know of people who have the centurion card & theyre not wealthy at all!!
Robert De Niro & Ellen Degeneress
Seinfeld, Tiger Woods.
I think i have probably spelt their names wrong.
I was actually looking for the name of a Japanese designer who i met, but can’t remember his name, Then i saw him on a commercial few years back, Trying to remember the name, ehh its killing me.
Ted Leonsis, owner of the Washington Capitals Hockey team has one. I attended an event where he spoke. To illustrate a point, he took out his wallet and waived his Centurion Card. Several people in the crowd gasped because it was out of Mr. Leonsis’ character to do something like that.
Shows the mistic of this black card but I am happy and surprised that the owner of the Capitals regards it so highly. If you are anyone–you have a huge ego and its a great thing!!!!
I work at a nation-wide corporate owned restaurant near Ft. Myers beach, Fl. We have a semi-regular that comes in who has a AMEX black. Real nice guy from England somewhere who is a real estate investor. He has tipped me $100 on occasion.
I doubt this is of much help, since its stating the obvious, but Bill Gates of Microsoft, Warren Buffet of Bershire-Hathaway, Carlos Slim Helu of TelMex, and Ingvar Kamprad of IKEA all posses one.
Your list is rather one-sided is seems to include mostly actors/actresses, musicians, and people involved with the aforementioned.
Now Tomik———–
Scrowl up to the very tippy top of this section—-Try to stay focussed all the way up. Take a deep breath and read the heading of this section of the web site. In the event that you can make it that far without drifting off to another thought, you will notice that the heading is “KNOWN CARDHOLDERS”. Than try—just try real hard to concentrate and read the next line– and I quote “This is an ever growing LIST OF CELEBRITIES who are or who claim to be black card holders”.————– This is why the list in this section mostly includes actors/actresses, musicians, and the “aforementioned” (i.e. Gates, Buffet, etc.)
This is a link to an article about basketball player Richard Jefferson. It references the fact that he has a black card towards the end of the article
I really do not understand the point of this site. Honestly everyone, does it really matter who has what credit card? When I moved away to school my mother requested an additional centurion card for me and honestly I never used the damn thing. The benefit of being able to access a first class lounge at an airport here and there is nice, and also the free upgrade the card got me at the Four Seasons in Florence was great for sure, but other than that I do not see the point. Only twice has someone noticed that I have a black card, and it was rather annoying when it happened. I really do not get what the fuss is for those who have it, and even more the fascination for those who don’t. I have no idea how much my mother puts on her card every year but she still makes me fly coach and work while I’m in college - and no, we are not the type of family that started at the bottom… Just don’t get it, that’s all.
Out of morbid curiosity I keep coming back to this site just to read the comments. Every time I am amazed at how shallow and gullible its readers are. Its like every moron with nothing better to do than idolize celebrities and pointless status symbols got a message board.
From the general level of ignorance and stupidity I feel pretty safe in assuming no one here could actually acquire something as dumb as the black card. (and if you actually do have one then you’re a dumbass)
And no, I don’t have one. I have more sense then to pay exorbitant fees for the privilege of debt.
Why is there so much fascination with this? I canceled mine because of the glare of stares I get at places. I went and got a card from Deutsche Bank, that lets me pre-pay it, so I don’t get stares.
So why is there such an obsession with it? I guess it is because of big headed people.
I have the black card. It really isnt a big deal. You people should not fantasize over a credit card.
I agree with JIM Y. I have one, too, and its no big deal. Its not like some hot waitress is gonna jump into bed with you because of the type of CREDIT CARD you have. I still havent seen the benefit of the concierge service (I can usually book my own reservations with my cellphone without any problem.) If theCBlack card Concierge could get me in to a club or something on the guest list where I couldnt already get in myself, i guess it would be worth it, but I havent seen anyting like that yet. In fact, I cant seem to get the Black Card Concierge to call me back at all…
If you watch the “Real Housewives of NYC”, Alex McCord’s husband, Alex, has a black card. He runs a boutique hotel in NYC.
Ragnar Magnusson who is some type of european financial guru has a AMEX Black Card. He was the youngest person I’ve ever seen with the card. He came into the store I work at in Beverly Hills and spent heavily. He was blonde skinny and tall so at first we assumed he was a model, but when no one recognized him I decided to ask him who he was out of curiosity. He was super friendly to everyone in the store unlike many of our celebrity clients
I would have thought that most celebrities would have an AMEX black Card if they have the money for it? BY the way, why do people hate the card so much? Its just a credit card for rich people. I just say, good for you if you have reached that stage of success where you can get the black card. I think the hate mail people are just jealous because I would bet that if they had the money they would be the 1st ones to get one. And the teenagers with one, you shouldnt brag so much about it, sinc you arent the one who earns the money but your parents.
Proud Cardholder since 2002! Mine was issued at the behest of the Bank President in Azerbaijan whom I had been negotiating some business with at the time. He had one and I asked him about it. 1 month later my package arrived in the mail… It’s quite an impressive box full they send you. And for the first 3 years I ran every business expense I had through that card. Now I just use it for personal expenses…
I find it terribly amusing after reading through the comments here. People saying things like “The card has no limit” They have limits. The limits are different for each cardholder. The limits are NOT published ANYWHERE. Also for all of the people who are on this message board stating they have a Centurian card I challenge you to answer a simple question. What is the name of the Magazine for Centurian card holders and what is on the top left corner on page 3 of the most current issue? Have fun!
When a friend recently told me that he’s got good news I thought his wife had delivered a baby! But no it was the Black card he just received that he was talking about. With a dozen stressful cards in my wallet, I was a bit curious about this black thing. Now that I have read anough about it, I just wonder how many of these card holders are going to carry it up with them when they die. No its just your good deeds and not good credit limit that’s going to get you anywhere close to your Soul
But each to his own and may they enjoy flaunting it rather than their love & kindness!
Roman Abromovich & his girlfriend Daria Zhukova has one. He is the owner of Chelsea football club and the top 50 richest man on earth
I can understand why NO NAME wants to remain unidentified. What your name should be is IDIOT! Eva Longoria, Britney Spears, The Olsen twins, Lindsey Lohan, Simon Cowel, Jerry Sienfeld, Jessica Simpson, nor Kelly Osboourne are MINORITIES!!!! Get a clue and a life. Maybe you should seek therapy for those issues you most obviously need to WORK OUT.
I’m fifteen. I don’t have one, but my grandfather does. My mom, brother, and I were at his house about a year ago, and he told us that he had received this card from American Express. He still doesn’t really know about any of the perks. I didn’t know what was so great about the credit card until now. We knew that it was a status symbol and for the extremely wealthy. Today I was reading something online about credit cards, and it reminded me of the black card, so I looked it up online. I just read the special perks that come with the card: WOW.
(However, I do think that whoever said that they got one as a 16th birthday gift from their parents was lying. Unless you’re parents are like billionaires, or have hundreds of millions at least, and let you blow 250 grand each year (which is ridiculous for a 16 year old), then that sounds absurd)
This is a very interesting site. As someone else said previously, it is interesting that a majority of the people being listed as cardholders are tacky celebrities. In my opinion, that seriously dilutes the image of the card.
Now, turning to those on here who say they have the Centurion Card. If that truly i the case, then how wonderful. However, considering the way that some of you type, I would venture to say that instead of bragging about having a Centurion card, you should perhaps instead focus on learning how to write a basic paragraph that is relatively easy to comprehend. No one is perfect, ut for some fo you the abundance of spelling errors and overall poor grammar makes any claims about having a Centurion Card difficult to believe and laughable.
Also, if you truly have a Centurion Card, I would not expect your post to go like this, ” WOW, LYKE MY DADDY JUST GAVE ME A CENTURION CARD. LYKE WE ARE REALLY IMPORTANT, BUT I DON’T GET WHAT THE BIG DEAL IS. BUT IT’S JUST SO COOL TO BE ABLE TO GO TO SAKS WITH IT AND SPEND LOTS OF MONEY. I ALSO HAVE A FERRARI, A PORSCHE, A BENTLEY, AND A BENZ.” Posts like that reek of insecurity and lies. They sound like the typical posts written by people who lie on the Internet in order to pretend to be something they are not. Stop trying to impress people you don’t know.
so i live in canada, and i work at at a buffalo david bitton store in a mall. This kid, i mean literally a kid, couldnt have been older than 17 years old, pulls out his black card and purchases some clothes. He just bought a pair of jeans and a few sweaters. I looked at him, and my associates looked at him, the one has a crush on him lol
Dennis DeYoung and his wife both have them. I’ve Dealt with those who have swiped it at both best buy and bed bath and beyond. Also Michael Jackson’s mother has one.
My business partner and I just got an invitation for the black card. We’re both 20 years old, so obviously age doesn’t matter. Amex acct is in my name and the LLC so I guess I have good credit. Haven’t ever missed a payment or anything. Have had the business platinum since we opened our dispensary when we were 18. Don’t think we’re going to the centurion card though. The business would obviously pay the fees, but it just doesn’t seem worth it. We’ve been very satisfied with the business platinum card, and some of our employees who are authorized gold card holders have had a good experience with their AmEx cards.
My first AmEx was a green card…. was added to my parents acct at 16 (when I got my drivers license and became their personal b**ch). Even that service was good. Back then, when I lost my card every couple weeks, AmEx was always happy to overnight it. I thought if I lost the card I couldn’t run errands for the parents for about a week while we waited for the new card to come normal usps… Had a new card within 18 hours so that hope was wrong!
I work in a coffee shop in Seattle, and I kid you not, Bill Gates walked in one day, ordered a latte, and handed me a $5 bill. I saw a Bank of America Card and what appeared to be a white Visa in his little wallet.
Perhaps those amongst us who are -truly- wealthy don’t need the ridiculous ego trip associated with outrageous items such as this?
Here is a classic clip of Noel Gallagher flashing his Black American Express Card after the Brits 2007
I work at a bar in Seattle and Vince and Vance Moss ( twins doctors I saw on TV getting Person of the Year on ABC or NBC ) paid their tab with black cards. They also gave a huge tip. The bill was $380 , they paid $500. Great guys.
And of course Norbert Greuter out of the Swarovski Family from Austria has one.
But he is living in Berlin,he paid once a Mercedes and a Rolex like in one hour.
Amazing.
Been an Amex member since 1984 when i was 21 . Had a black since 1999. Can’t imagine having the means to have the card and not having one ! Most expensive dinner tab ever paid on it 17k …
I have a zync card, which is at the very bottom of the amex social ladder. This summer I will be upgrading the the Gold rewards card and in two years platinum before my graduation trip to Europe. For a 20 year old college student I am proud to hold my zync card because I got it on my own without the help of my middle class parents. It would be great to have parents that could afford to give me thousands of dollars a year for frivolous spending, but that’s life. I am content with planning and save for the things i want (like my European trip)and believe that my hard work ethic will get me to the level of success many of you Centurion card members have obtained. For you spoiled kids out there, I beg you to please do something productive with your blessings.
I have a friend who is a doctor in Florida with one.
I’m currently a plum card member for the last 2 years, I charge approximately $250k/month on average and pay on time every single month. Our business does well.
I’ve been patient and have been waiting for an invite, I see most of the people went from platinum to centurion, so I’m beginning to wonder if the plum card is not eligible to make the jump. I really have no idea, I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to call AMEX directly and speak with them about it… We just updated our financials and they nearly doubled our limit which was already very high to begin with, so I assume our finances are no concern. I can’t for the life of me figure out why no invite yet…
The Best Card ever, for me and Norbert Greuter my cousin from Berlin,he is one of the very rare Card Holders in Berlin.
Kim Zolciak has one. She paid for some clothes at a children’s clothing store with one on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. It even had HER name on it. So… yeah.
Its pretty funny how worked up people get about this. When I worked in restaurants in DC, I would see atleast one of these a month (and I only worked 3 dinner shifts a week).
The card was definitely not an indicator of one’s ability to tip… in fact, Diddy rolled in and left a pathetic 8% tip one day. Many of the wizards tipped like crap (though I recall Arenas always tipped well)
This site and all you contributors are the saddest people on this planet.
You are all so narrow minded, cheaply impressed, easily bought
and with out a doubt so shallow, I have had baths deeper than all of your
collective depth of character put together.
Just imagine if the whole world was full of people like you.
What a sad and miserable place it would be.
You bunch of sycophants make the banking industry seem generous and charitable.
I work the counter at Hertz in S. Florida and we get them almost daily. A few weeks ago some condescending pompous idiot came up and handed me one. Told him it was DECLINED and the taxis were across ths street. Then I winked at his wife haha.

Chad Ledford has one…. duh.
