Centurion Members Get $500 Ralph Lauren Gift Card
I got an email from a reader and apparently Amex is sending out more free gifts this month. It seems they’ve been sending out a lot in the last few months, not sure if this si because Merchants are pushing it on Amex, Amex is feeling charitable, or they are trying to keep members happy with their $2,500 annual fee. But anyway, they recently sent out $500 gift card to personal centurion members, opted into promotions, for use at Ralph Lauren. However, it didn’t seem to widespread, did any of you all receive one?

everyone i know with a business cent claims not to have gotten any of the gifts, so i believe they are limited just to the personal cards.
Hi, I’m a Centurian Personal Card Holder in UK. I have to say that I was not even aware of these gifts. Mind you, perhaps it is because I’m only 37?
no biz cardholder gets any promotions.
you must be a personal cardholder to even qualify to be put into the “pool” of random people who receive them.
not EVERY personal card holder gets the gifts, they are targeted. if they feel a gift card is likely to make you spend a lot at Ralph Lauren…they will send you one. if u either: already shop there a lot and therefor they dont need to entice u, or dont shop clothes at all; u probably wont get one.
Does anyone know who the ticket brokers are that AmEx Concierge uses to source tickets? I want to know if its better off going direct to broker or via AmEx Concierge?
Thats funny. I never got any gift cards from anyone since I’ve had my card. I’ve had my card about 2 years. I just recently cancelled it. For me, and I travel about 6 to 8 times a year. Soo not worth it!

I just received a gift just like that too! A SGD 1,000 no-strings-attached voucher to world’s first 6-star luxury hotel, Capella Hotels and Resorts - which is equal to a one night stay.
I heard that not all Centurions got it and I’m just so pleased.
I did not get one.
When I asked why not, I was told that they are selectively allocated, and not every cardholder gets every gift card.
They explained that there have been up to 6 different things in the last few months (Mikimoto, Wynn, D.Vacca, Barneys, Ralph Lauren, etc) and each personal card holder got one or more of those - but not all of them.
They simply don’t have enough to give everyone, so the computer spits out names for each promotion, to hopefully ensure that everyone gets something.
