Centurion Application
Ever wondered what a Centurion application looks like? Well I have one for you. A member on flyertalk.com posted a copy of a the Centurion application he received. This application came from the Centurion UK office, so I am sure it will differ from the US one slightly. Anyone care to comment on how much it differs? The application has black lines through it to prevent unqualified idiots from trying to fill it out and send it in. Click on the image to see a full size, easier to read version.

in america u will have 2 spend $250,000 a yr but im sure thats after a long period. As i’v sed on the other page my dad had 1 but that was becuase he lived in the UK and was spending £3,000 a mth and had assets overseas he was alegable for 1. So take note if u live in the uk u only have to spnd £3,000 mth (£36,000 anual).

I just wanted to say I have a Amex Plat charge card my spend last year was around £50,000 and I was not sent an invite for Centurion. So I believe it may have changed from £3,000 a month
The application is actually similar - though I’m not surprised.
Of course, from what I remember there are still a few, minor exceptions (Not exactly what one would qualify as “differences,” rather due to the discrepancies of each issuing country, they are simply “variations.”).
Nevertheless, seeing someone post their Centurion application on the web is quite amusing.
Its all about marketing. And they make spend your money just for the prestige of having a card. I have noticed that my self with buying cars with a porsche i was a bigger spender and i had also my gold rolex always on. with my bmw i was more relaxed and had a simpler watch on. At the end of the day its all about marketing and prestige. Now… I have more money than ever i dont have a porsche i dont wear a watch at all and i go around as low profile as i can. So my conclusion is that the more $$$ you have the less advantage they take of you. Also couple of years ago i brought a Vertu phone in Austria i dont use it, it is heavy and it doesent have half the things of a new phone. I have here on my desk for decoration….
People who get an invitation for the black card and get the black card, do they have to maintain a spending of $250,000 a year or is that a one time thing where you have to spend $250,000 a year on an Amex card?
