16 With A Black Card, Harrison Gevirtz
Move over Bow Wow, meet Harrison Gevirtz. Harrison is a young entrepreneur/internet marketer that has done quite well for himself at such a young age. I can only imagine what the local high school kids think. He can’t go to the bars quite yet, but he could sure throw down on some candy! Without further ado, this installment of reader spotlight is on Harrison Gevirtz.
What is your name? Harrison Gevirtz
Where are you from? Santa Barbara, CA
How old are you? 16
What do you do for a living and do you also go to school full time? I used to be a big search engine marketing affiliate but now I focus on Small Business Search Engine Marketing ( www.blitzlocal.com ) and Social Network Application Monetization ( www.leaderclicks.com ). I do not go to a regular day school, I go to an independent studies program where I go every Tuesday for about 45 minutes.
Do you plan on going to college? If so, what for? I really have no plans as of now to attend college. But this can always change
How long have you been a Centurion member and do you have a personal or business centurion card? I have been a centurion card member since June and currently hold a personal centurion card.
What made you want to get the Centurion card? I travel quite a bit (I’m out of town as I write this to you) and have heard great things of the benefits with the centurion card if you travel a lot.
Did you have to call and ask to apply for the card or did they invite you? I had called before I had spent the 250k and they told me that they would call me back when qualified enough for the centurion card.
What is your favorite aspect about the card? Free nights at the mandarin oriental, and the fact that it’s metal - I always joke that if I sharpened the edges it could hurt someone.
Being so young, your friends must be in awe of the card. What have their reactions been like? “Oh S*#t” etc. Some of my friends didn’t even know what the centurion card was!
Have you bought anything extravagant on the card yet? Of course: Bought A Watch & A lot of clothes in the bahamas, Bought 200 itunes gift cards last week, Bought caviar dinner’s (RIDICULOUS), and of course Booked some hotel suites.
What has been your largest month to date in terms of spend? About $180k
When you weren’t using the Black card, which Amex card where you using? Platinum Card, & the Delta Reserve Card
Any advice for other kids your age on how they can become successful? Depends on what they are doing but I always tell my friends to never let people treat you poorly based on your age. Demand respect & don’t let people judge success by age.

Yeah, I think this post is a gimmick to visit his site. LOL
Poor and desperate, so sad
” Bought caviar dinner’s ” LOL, yeah right
It is kind of LAME to show off with a CREDIT card…
and even lamer to brag about spending so much money in a single month. And nobody likes caviar enough to eat it for an ENTIRE DINNER… do they?
man,
was just doin an interview and he asked for a pic.
And lol…I seriously like caviar enough..
hating’s kinda gay though…
I say if you got it you got it. The hell with everybody else. Good luck and be strong, age is just a number, I am close to the black myself I will see you soon …………….
Anyone who believes this kid is a fool. His Father is Steven Gevirtz. A successful multi-millionaire investor and businessman. http://streamline-capital.com/principals.html
He is also linked to Katana Capital Advisors LLC and Katana Fund LLC. http://www.secinfo.com/d118ez.5s.htm
It is no wonder that young Herrison here is doing so well with his multi-millionaire father behind him. His father is the primary account holder on the Black Card Amex, and his Harrison is just an Authorized User, but you’d never know since this is all a gimmick to drive interviews and business.
If you look into his companies it’s all VERY shady. Harrison has also done ringtone advertising and other shady things to make money. It’s no “accident’ shoemoney is involved either, everyone pats their own back. They are sending the message “if a 16 year old can do it, anyone can”. This is MLM (multi level marketing) at work, the more salesmen these guys bring in the more money they make and it’s no coincidence that his father is a hugely successful business man. Harrison is nothing more than a prop for business.
Harrison’s companies also employ the help of Dennis Yu, if you search him out he is a “London School of Finance” graduate and internet marketing expert. Google his name and you’ll find his history is impressive and full of success.
If I had a multi-millionaire father and a successful internet marketer to help me along with my business, I’d succeed too.
This is all just a big scam and Harrison is just a normal 16 year old.. with a multi-millionaire, successful father and college educated, successful internet marketer behind him.
Senior Gevirtz is the primary cardholder, and Harrison is a supplemental card holder off of that account, which is by the way a business a/c, not a personal one. So Junior actually has a card with almost all of the Centurion benefits, with the exception of point accural which is credited to the primary a/c and certain MO-Hotel free-night stays. But as Mr. Morgan mentioned its all a PR stunt, and it seems to be working.
PS. Amex will grant supplematal a/c’s to a minor (cutoff age is 14yrs, so long as primary usually the parent cosigns. The only exception is probably athletes/entertainers/dotcom wizz, that may be juveniles, but usually those a/c’s are setup thru coporations and have a/c managers (aka agents, lawyers) setup as primarys.
Haters? I think it is pretty obvious what is going on here. Reading Adam’s post and looking at the links this kids dad is insanely rich. He’s nothing but a rich kid. I googled Dennis Yu and sure enough this guy has tons of experience and education in marketing and internet marketing. So you’re telling me some uneducated 16 year old magically has the knowledge and talent to make 100k a month in internet marketing in a legit way? I don’t think so. Clearly his dad had a black card, clearly he gets tons of help. Rich kids have connections and things like that to help them in life.
Raise your hand if you like ads on the internet. No? Yeah I have an ad blocker too. People like this are ruining the internet, spamming social news sites with top 10 lists to get ad impressions and clicks, gaming google messing up our search results, and selling ring tones and other shady methods. Praying on young kids on Myspace and Facebook for a quick buck.
These people are scumbags, and rich kid scumbags aren’t any more popular in my book.
How about we interview some adults with the black card?
LOL, Harrison is busted! Good research Adams. I guess everyone wants to be famous for a few minutes
I’m still laughing at the Cavier, lol
LOL Harrison. There is no way in hell that with your dad’s background and Dennis Yu’s background that you had NO help from either of them. Every rich kid I know uses their families resources and money to get things done. Why not? Why are you so ashamed of this fact? Honestly you have the resources available to you.. just use them! Stop this ploy.
P.S.
You just admitted it wasn’t even YOUR account. I am sure your dad could easily spend 250k on his Amex to get a Black card.
Quit trying to keep up the charade and just go away. Lame
I hate ads on the internet. Go away.
Nice work Adam, I knew all this was BS. Another gimmick another sucker.
Excuse me, I have a caviar dinner to eat. ::g:: ha ha ha
It’s probably his dad who is posting all this anyways. Looking at the stuff Adam posted, it’s clear his father is extremely well off.
Just another rich kid with his daddy’s black card.
Member since ‘08, hmm?
Shame you need a year of American Express cardmembership before you can qualify for Centurion on your own account — even if you meet the spending threshold. Unless you transfer for your membership from overseas, of course.
The really sad part is that he’s not intending to go to college, despite his family can clearly afford for him to go.
Centurion and indeed the platinum and gold Amex cards are charge cards which means you have to pay the balance in full each month otherwise you risk having the card blocked, penalties being levied and your credit record going to complete crap.
While I will agree that the centurion is an interesting object (you don’t see any other metal card now do you?) and Ameican Express’s history is quite intersting it is a bit naff to flaunt a charge card, however this kind of attitude has been fostered by their marketing which emphasises exclusivity, indeed AMEX was notorious for turning down applications if you did not have exactly their requirements.
Indeed, I applied for one of their UK Blue Credit cards and was turned down on the first occasion even though I normally pay my credit cards in full each month or even when I can’t I usually make a payment well in excess of the minimum
When I got a promotion, I applied again and was accepted and then after a few months I applied for and received the platinum moneyback card which I still have.
Why on the basis of what I have said above did I do this? Because American Express are a very well respected financial institution who are not known for giving out credit to any old tom dick or harry so having a good record with them has to help if I’m in need of a loan/mortgage etc in the future.
Whereas most banks will give a Visa or Mastercard to anyone that wants one (though this probably won’t be the case from here on in)
Hey Harrison–Put a smile on your face and laugh at these fools that are attacking you. I just love to watch haters make asses out of themselves. They continue to fall deeper into their own pit with every negetive thought and comment. As they reach out to stab at you they fall farther down as you just continue to move forward. Don`t be ashamed to have a great heritage (if in fact your father is succesful) Its a great thing.
It IS a good thing. i don’t think anyone above said it was a bad thing. In fact I see people saying to take advantage of his fathers success and go to college to better himself. What is in doubt is the fact that he is a “supper affiliate” (I would be ashamed to be nothing more than a salesman on the internet). Read Adam’s post.
Adams post, LOL!!!–He condemns their business by using words like “Shady” (in fact 2 times) and a “scam”. The only thing worst than a hater is a cowardly hater that backpeddles like James. Hey Harrison, just keep moving forward and be entertained by these clowns.
LOL is right.. please .. internet marketing is shady..ringtones, SEO, manipulation.. all shady.. makes the internet a WORSE place.. not a better place.. Who here LIKES internet ads? who here has an ad blocked? Everyone… I never click on “internet ads”.. it’s ridiculous.. it’s like bragging that you’re a telemarketer, everyone hates telemarketers, everyone hates internet advertising, otherwise “Ad Blockers” would not be so popular.
Harrison should take advantage of of his fathers resources to grow his business, make his business even better. Instead he boasts he is 16, emphasising this gimmick over and over again. Age has nothing to do with anything, if he is so good at what he does then why even mention he is 16? He needs a gimmick, and being young is just that. A gimmick. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dennis Yu and his Father Steve were behind everything…
James–Your not going to like this because for some unknown reason you have an ax to grind with Harrison. After reading your last post, I clicked on blitzlocal.com (one of Harrisons business listed above) and it is exactly the solution that I was looking for– for my most recent start up. Up til now, I have been taking my time to get more local internet exposure for potential customers that search. My time is better spent doing other things as internet marketing is not my forte. Looks like it may be a helpful marketing tool for me. There`s karma for you. Looks like a win win for Harrison and me.
Johnnie,
Frankly I don’t believe anything you’ve said in your last post. What is your startup? Website? If you are looking for advertising and exposure then link to it here… I seriously doubt you are using a 16 year old’s website for marketing.. Go hire a real marketing person or firm to help you, not some 16 year old with his dad at the helm.
If your startup requires text/banner ad placements for advertising then it’s most likely not a very good product.
Prove us all wrong and give us more info and link us to your “start up”.
until then, you’re both liars.
Adam posted references and links showing his proof that Harrison’s dad is in fact an extremely wealthy person. It seems most likely and plausible that Adam’s post is true and personally it makes sense to me.
What I find suspicious is that Harrison refuses to show proof of *anything*. He refuses to show proof of his wealth, he refuses to show proof of his advertising skills, he won’t even reveal what websites carry his ads or what he advertises for. He doesn’t have a “portfolio” to show off, just his word and some flashy websites and his dads black card. Seriosuly, if you’re going to take this kid’s word blindly then you deserve to get scammed!
I think some of this is getting a little carried away. Harrison is a young kid, who at 16 is doing well for himself. His father isn’t at the helm of his business, but I am sure having a father like he has, doesn’t hurt. Just because you aren’t self made, or have help, doesn’t make you any less successful.
But it is correct, as it turns out, Harrison is not the primary cardholder on the account. We should leave the personal attacks out of this.
PS, not all internet marketing is scammy.
Actually Greg–I am not looking for exposure and advertising on this site. I enjoy this site and treat it as a great source of entertainment (some people watch TV and have a favorite show–This is my “favorite show”). I have grown a large telecommunications equipment company ( yes-I own it) I am very wealthy and enjoy developing Ocean Front “Sandcastles”– building the vacation rentals and selling them. I love to start new businesses. Yes–I have a black card–Do You??? Admin can verify that I have posted for awhile–I just learned of this incredible 16 year old. What I love most is just “Jamming” negetive people like you and helping positive people. I guess that it must be working for me. I am living large….. Good Day!!
Johnnie - Anyone can be a “king” on the internet. Did you know I am the King of Denmark and that I own several large castles of my own? I also have a black card.
Who cares… nothing is “true” without proof… so go take a hike. Anyone can post anything on the internet and anyone can be anyone, so … I guess we all have to take our word for it huh?
Get over yourself.
I guess this is my cup of tea… To stand up to a bunch of COWARDS that are bullying a 16 year old kid in a war of words–really (lol) is nothing more than just plain fun. You cowards, who are trying to exstinguish this young flame– are just not being honest at your intent. I don`t need to expose my businesses- you should really tell us all why there is such an attack on this kid. As Dexter said so well a few post ago “Go make some money you haters”. I think that you and few of your friends are just in a competetive business. Yes, there actually are people with success out here. Everything that I said is true. I won`t lie-I love my black card and I am happy that I am very wealthy. I would be very interested in knowing how many of you haters really have any happiness and success because most people (in fact not one that I know) that act like you haters have anything–they usually are just jealous of the ones with success. So to all you haters that like to bully 16 year olds–Go make some money–if you even have a job!!! Goodnight………
I bet Johnnie is Harrison’s dad or something.
Johnnie, you need to calm down, the more you ramble on the less convincing you sound. Anyone who yells in a comment thread “I love my black card and I am happy that I am very wealthy.” probably isn’t very wealthy. Wealthy black card holders don’t need to proclaim this on the internet.
You’re sounding pretty ridiculous. The fact of the matter is, Harrison is the son of a rich man. Which in my book makes him a “rich kid”. I am not impressed with his claims of wealth and success without any shred of proof.
The admin even admits that Harrison is merely an authorized user, not a primary card holder, yet the interview makes it sound like it is his and his alone, very deceptive, and reading Adam’s post, everything seems fishy. Anyone can be an “authorized card holder” of a black card, so how is a rich kid showing off his fathers black card impressive? Who cares? Looking at Harrison’s page, I see no shred of evidence that this kid is or isn’t who he says he is. Just some nameless, faceless person with contradicting irregular facts.
Don’t believe everything you read on the internet.. such as random blogs that make wild claims.
This young Harrison is creating alot of attention. He has received 5 times more comments than any other “Reader Spotlight” This kid has got it–Go ahead and google his name and see what you get. He may be a marketing genius. This is a lot of attention generated for a 16 year old…. Poor Jason—You are a fool if you want him to post his financial statement for you to go over. As if any of us has to prove anything to you. I just got to say it one more time since it pisses you off so much ” I love my black card and I love being very wealthy” and I live wealthy 24/7 not just for a few seconds like some posters. Bye..
Very well thought out come back!!!! Tara–have you checked out Harrison`s interviews on you tube. This kid has a great future ahead of him. I would not be surprised if this young man gets approached by a major network media executive—oh, I don`t know–perhaps in some sort of reality show for successful young wealthy kids. I just became aware of this kid and I am amazed at the level of interest in. Well Tara enjoy your caviar dinner as you witness a new bright star rise……….. I love to Jam haters and bullies. Great Day!!!
Johnnie you’re not “jamming” anyone.. the comments have been posted.. I don’t get how you’re “jamming” anyone… you aren’t making a lick of sense, in anycase. The facts of the matter are clear as I posted them above. It’s very suspect, just like a number of these so called “affiliate” marketers. You know there are a lot of other young black card holders that have been profiled on this site without as much drama. Mostly because they didn’t outright lie about the origins of their wealth and black card. I think you need to take a chill pill and go “jam” somewhere else, all you are doing is blabbing about nothing while the facts above remain the same. You aren’t helping anyone.
Not all comments posted as Johnnie were Johnnie. I removed them, but the site has a caching function that left them up for a period of time after I took them down.
Adam–The fact is this kid is on the rise. I don`t think there is a thing that you can do about it. When I refer to the word “jam”, I mean throwing it right back into your face. Just clarifying my definition. Actually, this is very relaxing–sounds like you are the one upset, lol. Try to relax and enjoy the ride cause you cannot stop success. This kids got a long life and I believe it will be meaningful–Sorry if that stings so bad. See Ya!1
Alright, let’s cut the crap. It’s abundantly obvious what’s going on here (as if similarities in vocabulary and sentence structure weren’t evidence enough).
Does the kid have a Centurion Card? Yes.
Does it mean anything? Clearly not.
Johnnie - this profile has generated a lot comments because the subject matter is contentious. I don’t know enough about the internet marketing business to know whether some personal notoriety and mixed publicity like this can be monetized; but it doesn’t really seem an obvious indicator of being ‘on the rise’.
There isn’t really any ‘hating’ or ‘bullying’. Harrison has made himself a public figure, and he’s done so on pretenses which are potentially misleading. It’s not a surprise other would challenge him in a robust way.
Well lets just see—–They called a 16 year old’s business “very shady” they called Harrison “rich kid scumbag”, “scumbag”, “lame”, “nothing but a rich kid”, “bullshit”, mocked his caviar dinner comment, and called him a “liar”. Yea….I think I am right on with the “hating” and “Bullying” thing——
You did just say that “Harrison has made himself a public figure” and he did it on the internet……..see now you know alittle more about “the internet marketing business”.
Wow johnnie, you almost sound like the kid’s PR person, ready to take on the injustices of being slander on this website please. There’ve been plenty successful juvenile mention on this site before, none with the fanfare of your ‘client’, Harrison. I know, I know you feel the god given right to defend him so adamantly. And you even claim to own the Centurion product yourself, right! While you’re at it I have this bridge downtown Brooklyn I need to sell:o)
No—I`m just really having fun. It`s just a bonus that it “STINGS” people like you….Got to go—-Goodnight!!!
I’ve met Harrison before at an industry event. He’s a very bright and talented guy and is no doubt doing very well on his own merits. He’s very well known and connected in the industry and tons of people are eager to work with him (I don’t for what it is worth).
One thing is that it is VERY EASY for internet marketers to charge enough in advertising to reach Black Card status. I know several guys in the space that spend virtually nothing outside of business expenses with Corporate black cards, really cheapening the cachet of the card in my opinion. I see tons of wanna be’s with corporate black cards. The real players have personal cards.
Another internet marketer, Neil Patel received tons of ink for showing off his card so I can see why Harrison would do the same. Anyway, he’s 16 so why not just leave him alone?
I think that we all learned something here——-posting a website of a successful father is not proof that his son– is unsuccessful.
You fail Johnnie. I think the lesson learned is… Going around claiming you are super successful (with no proof) while never mentioning the fact that you are surrounded by successful business people who most likely helped you or let you use their resources and contacts to become successful is just down right deceitful.
If he were a normal 16 year old from a middle class family from suburbia with parents who worked regular day jobs and he was this successful.. well that is impressive.
The fact some multi-millionaire rich kid is .. rich.. (apparently) is *not* impressive.. EVERY rich kid is rich.. how is he special? If I had a father like his I would be successful in business too!
Wow great guy, young entrepreneur. I wish I could have started earlier in life at entrepreneurship.
More life stories of successful young entrepreneurs at the YES movie by Louis Lautman visit http://www.TheYESmovie.com.
Karen——-Glad that you acknowledged Harrison`s success (re: “If I had a father like his I would be successful in business Too!). Sorry that you are not successful in business. Even if your father was like his, that would certainly not guarentee that you would be successful in business.
Actually I’m not a business person.. so yeah I’m not successful in business, or in Tennis, or in Golf or in anything I’m not involved in. I’m actually independently wealthy due to inheriting real estate and land from grandparents. But even at 45 years old I feel lucky and don’t hide the fact I was given what I have, I did not earn it (my grandfather did).
In anycase, It’s hard to believe that he did everything on his own, given his background and surroundings. Adam’s post and others make a lot of sense.
I am not surprised that they make alot of sense to you….If you have kids, I hope that you don`t believe that they will be successful just because you have wealth (like you expressed in your previous post). As a 45 year old——-really——– do you think some of these post(and name calling i.e “scumbag”) that you defend are appropriate….. Thats not good…
With respect to this kid’s success, I think he probably go assistance from his father and Dennis Yu, but I also bet that some of his father has rubbed off on him. Maybe he’s savvy because he learned by watching his father and has adopted his father’s attitude and habits towards conducting business.
I’m Dennis, one of Harrison’s business partners. $250k a year in spend is nothing for being a PPC agency. A few clients who spend $25k a month and you’re already at a million in spend a month. It’s common practice to place your client PPC spend on a card to earn the points.
Our company’s success in internet marketing is largely the result of hard work– we do affiliate marketing on our own behalf and for social publishers (leaderclicks.com), manage large clients (gevirtzmedia.com), offer small business advertising (blitzlocal.com) and have time to help out non-profits pro-bono. Nothing shady about it– check out these businesses for yourself.
We have just over 40 people in our company and they have nothing to do with Harrison’s mother or father– it would be laughable to think that they would be internet marketers. We have a group of engineers and analysts that work well together. It’s this focused execution on a daily basis that drives earnings– not the fact that we place PPC spending on a black card.
Dennis
Analyst, BlitzLocal.com
Correction– a million in spend a year, which is 4 times what is needed to have a black card.
Anyway, interesting to see the variety of comments here on this site. How about going to cpashare.com to read Harrison’s blog? See if you think he’s proven his expertise in online marketing. And he’s only 16, so if you have positive guidance, please provide it. Just because you’re brilliant doesn’t mean you’re perfect.
Good post, Dennis. Positive guidence is appropriate for a 16 year old. Allowing him to make a couple mistakes is the way to go. I think many of these adult posters are justs missing this. I bet I can predict whom the negetive posters are voting for in this presidential election…………

Does anyone know if this guy is part of the Young Entreprneur Society? Is he in their movie at http://www.theYESmovie.com?
